30 Jan Lower Back Pain
-Facet joint irritation
-Muscle and Soft Tissue strain
The most common contributor however, is LOWER CROSS SYNDROME. LCS is the result of muscle strength imbalances and is largely due to poor posture or prolonged shortening of certain muscles like the Quads (Prolonged sitting at our desk at work or at home on the couch). If left untreated, LCS can lead to more permanent conditions like disc degeneration.
Treatment for LCS is fairly simple and straight forward. Firstly you need to loosen up those TIGHT muscles, like the QUADS and QLs and the best way to do that is with MASSAGE!
Next, and equally as important, you need to strengthen the weak and lengthened muscles like the GLUTES and ABS. Correcting your posture will decrease the load through your lower back and EASE those aches and pains.
